When I'm cooking pasta, I like to make smoke signals with the steam.

As I pour the boiling water into the collander in the sink I cover it, and then uncover it.

"SOS" I say in clouds of Steam. "SOS"
A mute plea to any who may be listening whilst I cook.

Perhaps the kitchen gods would listen if I knew more than just SOS in morse code...
